Macbook Pro 15 vs 17 inch Laptops 2011 Comparison

Choosing Macbook Pro 15 vs 17 inch is dependent what you want to use it for, you can decide if portability or display size. The Macbook Pro 17 inch laptops has bigger screen, used frequently in business presentation, video editing and graphics design especifically, but not much for personal use for furthermore it’s way to expensive.

A 17″ laptop is basically like a desktop that is used because of space limitations for the computer and screens. Generally people with laptops get a maximum of 15″ The 15″ is lighter and more portable. The screen size is larger. Most people who want larger screens than the 15″ for personal use end up using their HDTV or purchase a larger screen separate to use when the use the laptop at home. Either connecting the screen by using a docking station or Most people only need 2 GB RAM on a Mac. The remote is standard with a MacBook Pro. GB RAM is a lot. If you want that in your 15″, better ask for that up front to save some money.

The screen would depend on how much laptop you want to carry around with you, I think that 15″ is about the best size for most purposes though you might benefit from a 17″ screen if you do graphic design, a 17″ screen would be very nice for design work but it’ll also make the laptop a bit too heavy and cumbersome to carry around with you all the time, anything less than a 15″ screen and you start to make too many compromises that probably wouldn’t be acceptable to you.

But don’t expect a laptop LCD to give good color as laptop screens are designed with a lot more emphasis on power consumption then desktop panels and some of that comes at the cost of quality, viewing angles are narrower and the screens can’t display as many colors as well as having lower contrast ratios.

If you are a student in graphic design the 17″ will probably be better to have, plus the 4 GB will come handy. Maybe lots of Hard drive space is helpful. Ask Apple the cost to put in the largest hard drive before you buy. I think the 17″ also hasvthe same student discount
